Westbrook Fitness Manager says Cayla, an Athletic Therapist and Personal Trainer, has consistently been running our Back School program for anyone with low back issues, as well as maintaining great client session frequency and loyalty. Originally from Bulgaria and prior to her arrival in Calgary Jivka taught Step, Hi-Lo and Body Toning classes while living with her family in Tripoli, Libya.
Since her arrival in 2005 Jivka participated in group fitness classes and then decided to get involved with the fitness industry. She became a certified AFLCA instructor in January 2008.
Jivka's high energy and enthusiasm ensures everyone will have a great workout every time. She is excited about being a fitness instructor and her passion is to teach Step, Hi-Lo and Body Toning Classes. She is currently involved in an Iron Reps class at the Westbrook Mall Club.
For those that love step, but are short on time this 30 minutes of pure cardio is the express way to burn calories and have fun with step choreography. Different levels of choreography will be offered to help everybody feel welcome..
With 13 years of experience in the fitness industry and 10 years of that teaching for Spa Lady, Michelle brings passion and energy to all that she does. Michelle works full time in the fitness industry as a dedicated instructor with the Spa Lady team on a part time basis and full time with the Calgary Winter Club as their Program Supervisor. Michelle loves to teach advanced step classes that keep people moving from start to finish. Currently, she is teaching the 9:30am Cardio Step class at Canyon Meadows. As well as being fulltime in the industry, Michelle also spends time training for Figure competitions, presenting nationally at fitness conferences and has recently produced 2 fitness dvd’s – Cardio Boot Camp and The Complete Weight Loss Workout. With her high energy, fast paced style, she brings a unique spin to an every day step class. Michelle’s motto: “Work hard, dedicated yourself and you shall achieve success.”

Darci received her AFLCA certificate at Mount Royal college in1983 and has been working in the fitness industry ever since. She recently completed Personal Training through the University of Calgary and the American Council of Exercise (ACE).
Darci also instructors a variety of fitness classes including step Pilates, ball and core stability
She is very enthused about Personal Training and is looking forward to working individually with range of fitness and skill levels.

I started in the fitness industry 10 years ago wtih Spa Lady which inspired me to make a career change into a wonderful Spa Lady Team Member! Sharing many of my successes with the Spa Lady Members helps them achive theirs goals and dream of a healthier, fitter, happier mind and body. I love to make the participants laugh, have fun and get a challenging well rounded work-out to bring them into a "State of Euphoria"!!!!!

This class is a fusion of mat based Pilates exercises and fitness core training. You will work the abdominals and spinal muscles whilst improving awareness of cervical, scapula, rib and pelvic placement and the role of the breath.
