Congratulations, Hayley!

Her coworkers say Hayley is nothing but fun, fun, fun and hilarious! She is an excellent trainer, especially with her groups. Hayley has a great skill for connecting with her ladies!

Canyon Meadows Fitness Manager, Judy Campbell, says Hayley is a real joy to have on our team. She is one of those people who lightens any room she walks into. Whenever she is on the floor training clients, she generates a positive energy that touches all those around her. She has a wide range of clients, and has a unique way of being able to relate to them all. Her ladies all love her and they want to work hard to please her! Many of her clients have approached me to let me know how much they enjoy their sessions with Hayley. She takes a personal interest in each of her clients and genuinely wants to help them reach their goals. We share lots of laughs in the office and my day is genuinely better whenever she is around. Way to go Hayley! You deserve this recognition!

Yin Yang Yoga combines passive and active asanas with breath and meditation to achieve a deeply satisfying practice. Find emotional and physical balance by integrating the quiet stillness of Yin with the energy of Yang movement.

Debbie has been enjoying Yoga since her early teens and has felt the positive benefits of the practice throughout her life. After raising her children, she decided to share her passion with others by receiving her Yoga Teacher Training Certification through Physical Yoga.

Subsequently, she has furthered her studies with The Yoga Studio College of Canada, expanding her knowledge of the Iyengar style of Yoga. This particular branch of Yoga concentrates on precise alignment in poses and the use of props to help make the practice accessible to everyone, regardless of age or fitness level.

Most recently she has delved into Yin Yoga, a style which helps the practitioner safely move the stretch further into the joints and connective tissues, enhancing flexibility and facilitating a deep sense of emotional and physical well-being.

Debbie is enthusiastic about introducing people to the practice of Yoga and finds great satisfaction in observing the delicate blossoming of Mind, Body and Spirit.

For those that love step, but are short on time this 30 minutes of pure cardio is the express way to burn calories and have fun with step choreography. Different levels of choreography will be offered to help everybody feel welcome..

Having been an active and social person most of her life, Robin felt Group Fitness was a natural step after her first baby. Two years later she is enjoying herself more than ever and intends to bring health and fitness to the lives of many people in years to come.

Helping people have fun while they get an incredible workout is something she strives for in every class. Robin believes in getting the participants directly involved in class so they leave feeling a sense of accomplishment.

Robin loves nothing more than to see smiles on the faces of her participants as they work with her to improve the quality of their lives through exercise.

After having my two children and getting into my 30\'s I wanted to be more active on a daily basis. As a performing artist and musician it was a natural progression for me to begin to dance again as I did in my youth. I discovered Zumba and knew right away this was what I wanted to do for my own health and for the health of others.

Zumba has provided the platform for me to dance frequently and with enthusiasm and vigor that you just can\'t get away with on the average dancefloor! My passion for music inspires me as I create my choreography and I have a great time instructing others to move their bodies with confidence and joy.

The benefits of Zumba are not only physical! Not only can I deal with stress better now than in the past I just don\'t feel down very often! I attribute this to my experience as a Zumba instructor sharing happiness and health with my clients each day.

10:00 am - 10:30 am

30minutes of pure abs! This class will attack the abdominal region to promote a long lean torso whilst improving core connection and posture.

A calm and focused yoga class that concentrates on precision and alignment whilst using props to accommodate individuals. Improves balance, static strength and flexibility, whilst calming the mind and relieving stress.

12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

This Yin Yoga class will incorporate seated and supine asanas, similar to Hatha Yoga, but the poses are held longer to encourage muscle relaxation, a release of the deep connective tissues and an opening of the joints. The Yin practice is passive and does not include standing or balancing poses and over time will increase range of motion, facilitate relaxation and help prepare the mind and body for meditation.

It is all about the Party! – Dance, shake and groove away calories in a fun dance style aerobic class that is designed to be a party! It is for everyone and it is fun, fun fun!!!

New to Calgary from Houston, Texas, Kendyl is a high energy Zumba instructor, who brings with her an amazing Hip Hop style!

It all started several years back when, in search of a fun way to lose weight, her love of dance brought her to group fitness dance classes. It was at this point, that she fell in love with the community it created, and the results she saw, and so she decided to take on the role of \'Instructor\'. Her high-intensity Zumba workout allowed her to lose 26 pounds, and consistently keep it off, validating to her that the process works, and that you can have a BLAST losing weight, and staying healthy! Since then, her goal has always been to continue to challenge herself, and more importantly, her students, to achieve a higher level of fitness, no matter where they are in their fitness journey!

If you\'re ready for a dance party that helps shed the pounds, and keeps you feeling ALIVE, join her! All she asks is that you leave your inhibitions out the door, and dance like nobody is watching, or dance like everybody is watching...whatever inspires you to feel the beat, and let loose!!

I always enjoyed swimming growing up, and was never big into fitness. Being a stay at home mom for 6 years, I realized that I needed and wanted to out run both kids, and wanted to become a healthier person for me.

I joined Spa Lady and made the gym part of my daily routine, making wonderful friendships and feeling better about myself. I decided to take the apprenticeship program in 2014 and became very passionate about becoming a fitness instructor.

My goal is to motivate members as I was and still am, to teach classes that are fun, safe, and challenging so they will keep coming back.

5:15 pm - 6:15 pm

A weight-training workout using a barbell and plates in the group fitness studio. It achieves maximum results and is the quickest way to get in shape. Our experienced instructors will focus on technique for safety and use their dynamic energy to power you through this amazing full body workout.

Kathy has been interested in every activity available to her from a young age: gymnastics, volleyball, basketball, dance, swimming, whatever she could do - she did. During college she found her gym sessions to be boring and repetitive, then a friend suggested she attend a group fitness class. It turned out to be a Step class and after 1 session she was hooked! Kathy couldn't believe sweating her way through an hour-long workout could be so much fun. After two years of being inspired by talented instructors, she decided that teaching was her calling. Kathy moved to Calgary in the fall of 2006 and began her journey to becoming a qualified instructor. She took her Can-Fit-Pro Fitness Instructor Specialist Certification under the guidance of our very own Michelle Parker. She then continued to mentor with Michelle at Spa Lady, and completed the Apprenticeship Program with Simone Hodgkinson. She began subbing in Summer 2007 and is now very excited to be a part of the Spa Lady team!

5:30 pm - 6:20 pm

Come and experience a full body workout that is driven from the core. The Bender Ball method of training is unique and dynamic and creates amazing results for the posture and the abdominals. The Bender Ball curl has been proven to be 4 times more effective than regular abdominal curls, so you experience an abdominal workout like never before! But not only do you get to work your abdominals you get to improve the muscular endurance of the whole body.

When she was younger, Tina enjoyed dance classes and running as forms of exercise. After moving to Calgary in 1997, Tina joined Spa Lady shortly thereafter. Two kids and many fitness classes later, Tina decided to complete the group fitness apprenticeship program. She is very excited for the challenges ahead!

6:30 pm - 7:00 pm

3, 2, 1 is a mix of muscle, cardio and abdominals. We will perform 3 minutes of muscle, 2 minutes of cardio and 1 minute of abdominals and repeat this over and over to create a super calorie-busting workout. This time-efficient program creates amazing results and is suitable for all levels.

Brought up in a Brazilian family with a soccer ball practically thrown into her crib, Anne started sports at a young age with a strong passion for soccer. In high school, she also began dancing and teaching Brazilian dances like Samba and Axe which expanded to Afro, Samba Reggae, Coco de Roda, Basqueteira and other traditional Brazilian cultural dances. She is an intermediate Capoeirista (Brazilian martial arts) with over 3 years of training.

After graduating from the Fitness & Lifestyle Management program at George Brown College, Anne earned her CFES National Fitness Instructor Certification along with the Canfit Pro FIS. She enjoys attending conferences and workshops to expand her knowledge and add variety to her classes.

Anne enjoys teaching several types of group fitness classes including Zumba, Zumba Toning, Zumba Step, and HITT Training. Incorporating her knowledge and years of experience in martial arts, dance and fitness, every class will bring something new and exciting to your workout.

6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Nives started Yoga at early age as a way of warm up /cool down stretching for Gymnastic competitions and everyday practice. She then discovered that practicing Yoga brought more muscle flexibility and mobility along with more energy and calmness.

Since then Nives brought Yoga to her everyday life. After finding many spiritual and physical benefits for over 15 years she has decided to take teacher training (through Yoga Studio college of Canada) to share with others knowledge and benefits of Yoga.

Through her massage therapy background Nives incorporates safety and anatomical focus for all levels of students.
