Long Weekend Classes

We are running all classes (both cities) as normal on Saturday May 18th. On Monday May 20th we are running classes 9-12noon ONLY - Except Northgate Mall as the mall is closed until 12noon so there are no classes.

Trans-Canada Mall Fitness Manager Darine says Shanda is brand new to the team and has had an exceptional month and inspired many people to live a healthy and active lifestyle. Her clients love her and are seeing massive results in the short time she has worked with them. Shanda is dedicated to helping those around her, is down to earth, relaxed and eager to learn.

Today's Schedule
9:30 am - 10:30 am

A weight-training workout using a barbell and plates in the group fitness studio. It achieves maximum results and is the quickest way to get in shape. Our experienced instructors will focus on technique for safety and use their dynamic energy to power you through this amazing full body workout.

Having been an active and social person most of her life, Robin felt Group Fitness was a natural step after her first baby. Two years later she is enjoying herself more than ever and intends to bring health and fitness to the lives of many people in years to come.

Helping people have fun while they get an incredible workout is something she strives for in every class. Robin believes in getting the participants directly involved in class so they leave feeling a sense of accomplishment.

Robin loves nothing more than to see smiles on the faces of her participants as they work with her to improve the quality of their lives through exercise.

Courtney has loved the combination of fitness and dance since she could walk. With many years of experience in dance, she loves choreographing fun and innovative routines. Courtney loves teaching both in the classroom as her profession, and in the fitness studio as her passion. Encouraging others to lead a healthy lifestyle has always been a priority and now, she is excited to do that on a larger scale at Spa Lady. She hopes to see you all in class!!

It is all about the Party! – Dance, shake and groove away calories in a fun dance style aerobic class that is designed to be a party! It is for everyone and it is fun, fun fun!!!

Growing up in a health conscious family, Florelie naturally embraces a balanced lifestyle. Her younger years were mostly spent with outdoor activities and sports. She has always seen the endless benefits of active living.

Florelie became a member of Spa Lady after she gave birth to her son in 2001. Since then, she became a gym rat! Whether there is a snowstorm or not. She finds herself sweating on an Elliptical machine. In addition to her daily routine, she joins various Group Exercise Classes lead by amazing Instructors.

It did not take long for Florelie to venture into the Fitness Industry. Geared with determination and confidence she registered for The Spa Lady Apprenticeship Program instructed by Simone Hodgkinson and Robin OGrady. Blessed with phenomenal mentors, Florelie completed her AFLCA Certification. She is proud to say, she is now a part of the Spa Lady team!

Equipped with passion, wealth of knowledge and motivation, Florelie seeks to provide members of the Spa Lady community an enjoyable workout while reaching their fitness goals!

Combine step and weights to create a great all over workout. The step will be easy to follow but intense (with low intensity options for beginners) and the strength section will tone your muscles and improve your shape. Perfect for everyone.

Karen grew up in Australia and has always been involved in sport, either team or individual. From playing Netball, Basketball, Field Hockey, Running or swimming. Karen has always been very active from a young age.

Being active has been a big passion of Karen's life for many years, When relocated to Calgary and starting a family Karen needed to keep her passion alive. With adjusting to the weather conditions Karen join Spa Lady as a member and hasn't looked back.

After Karen had her first boy with the support and encouragement of her husband Karen decided to take it to the next step and become a group fitness instructor.

Karen completed her AFLCA Certification, and apprenticeship ran by Spa Lady back in 2008, Karen is very proud to say, she is now not just joining the class for great workouts but also on stage teaching as part of the Spa Lady team!

Karen attends fitness conferences to keep up to date with the ever changing world of fitness.

Karen would love to share her knowledge,energy, passion of fitness with you, see you around the gym!!!

The Passion Kristy has for fitness and dance is undeniable. Whether she is training a client, teaching a dance workshop or group fitness class or performing on stage, her energy is electric. Kristy was born into a world of athletics and dance. Her certification in personal training and eclectic dance experience have greatly contributed to both her knowledge and ability.

If you are looking for a fun, knowledgable and motivating trainer who will ensure your individual goals are met, Kristy is your trainer! She prides herself on maintaining a dynamic personality and thrives on endless professional development in the world of personal training, group exercise and dance. Whether your goal is to lose weight, tone up, become healthier, gain more energy or become a better athlete or dancer, Kristy will be with you step by step to help make your goals a reality!

Noha is a mother of 3 beautiful children. As a member of Spa Lady she was very loyal in attending most or all group fitness classes. She quickly realized where her passion lies, and that was in the fitness industry.

Noha went from being a member and a personal training client to attending the apprenticeship program that Spa Lady offers and becoming a AFLCA certified group fitness instructor.

Noha is always full of energy and spunk, and says "What a rewarding feeling it is to be able to LOVE what you do and be a part of peoples healthy living".

This restorative class uses yoga poses to gently release tight joints and ease away muscle tension. There is also a guided relaxation section designed to improve sleep habits, relieve fatigue and reduce stress. It’s a perfect way to refresh the mind and body and bring balance to life.

Following her 10-year career as a Professional Ballet Dancer, Naoko changed her focus to the practice and proliferation of yoga. Having first-hand experience with the healing powers of yoga, Naoko’s goals as an instructor are to help people with differing injuries and ailments gain strength, confidence, and peace of mind with the continued practice of Yoga.

Having trained at Calgary’s “The Yoga Studio College”, Naoko understands the need to continually expand her knowledge and education in Yoga. She regularly attends intensive Workshops & Seminars, expanding her understanding of the Sutras of Yoga.

It is one of her goals to study with the great Yogis in India.
