Carolyn is a Can-Fit-Pro certified personal trainer and has been actively working in the fitness field for over 20 years. She is also a certified group fitness instructor and she teaches many different fitness and yoga classes to several populations such as women, older adults and children. She especially enjoys working with those who are new or returning to fitness. Education and motivation are essential to any fitness program and Carolyn can provide opportunities for both.

A weight training workout using a barbell and plates in the group fitness studio. It achieves maximum results and is the quickest way to get in shape. Our experienced instructors will focus on technique for safety and use their dynamic energy to power you through this amazing full body workout.

I have been introduced to yoga during my university years. During the first yoga class I felt challenged, exhausted but at the end of class the reward was astounding, and it soon became a regular routine in my life. During those first years of yoga exploration I had been inspired by many wonderful teachers, and by the time I finished my Masters degree in Musicology in Ottawa, I felt I had a new calling.
I immersed myself in a 200-hr Hathat Yoga teacher training in Ottawa (Rama Lotus Yoga Centre), which was followed by 500-hr Hatha – Akhanda – Classical Kundalini training in India with Yogi Vishvketu. When I moved to Calgary I discovered the beautiful heart-centered and life affirming style of Anusara Yoga founded by John Friend. This new style offered a yet deeper transformation in my yoga practice and personal life; therefore I explored it deeper through a 200-hr Anusara YTT with Martin and Jordan Kirk.
Today, I happily incorporate all these various styles into my teaching, which results in a diverse blend of strong alignment instructions, heart themes, conscious focus on breath and a focus on the unity of mind, body and spirit, which is the ultimate goal and meaning of yoga. Although I guide people through yoga sequences, I like to point out that there is a much more important and wiser teacher within each of us that is waiting to be re-discovered and listened to. I believe, a good yoga class - among its countless other beautiful benefits - helps us to make this intimate connection to our beautiful inner guru.

Perfect for those who like variety! Choreography is easy to follow and there are intensity options for a range of fitness levels.
Stephanie has been committed to Spa Lady for more than 10 years; she is AFLCA certified & has a Kinesiology degree.
Stephanie strives to encourage & help her participants not only with their
physical appearance/presentation, but also with their mental health,
well-being & attitude. Additionally, she is extremely passionate about
facilitating positive change in every aspect of her participants lives - to
be happier, stronger, motivated & feel empowered through fitness.
Just as the name suggests, this is a muscle conditioning workout that concentrates on the lower body. Includes lots of great leg, butt and abdominal work.
With 13 years of experience in the fitness industry and 10 years of that teaching for Spa Lady, Michelle brings passion and energy to all that she does. Michelle works full time in the fitness industry as a dedicated instructor with the Spa Lady team on a part time basis and full time with the Calgary Winter Club as their Program Supervisor. Michelle loves to teach advanced step classes that keep people moving from start to finish. Currently, she is teaching the 9:30am Cardio Step class at Canyon Meadows. As well as being fulltime in the industry, Michelle also spends time training for Figure competitions, presenting nationally at fitness conferences and has recently produced 2 fitness dvd’s – Cardio Boot Camp and The Complete Weight Loss Workout. With her high energy, fast paced style, she brings a unique spin to an every day step class. Michelle’s motto: “Work hard, dedicated yourself and you shall achieve success.”

Shavonne started out in 1994 as a Spa Lady member.Soon, her love for fitness and motivating others inspired her to earn her AFLCA certification. She has been part of the Spa Lady Instructor team since 2002 and can teach a variety of group fitness classes. Being part of a leading edge organization provides ongoing opportunities to learn current and safe teaching methods. Shavonne's high energy and enthusiasm ensures a great workout every time.
