Carolyn Joyce

Carolyn is a Can-Fit-Pro certified personal trainer and has been actively working in the fitness field for over 20 years. She is also a certified group fitness instructor and she teaches many different fitness and yoga classes to several populations such as women, older adults and children. She especially enjoys working with those who are new or returning to fitness. Education and motivation are essential to any fitness program and Carolyn can provide opportunities for both.

8:15 am - 9:15 am

A weight training workout using a barbell and plates in the group fitness studio. It achieves maximum results and is the quickest way to get in shape. Our experienced instructors will focus on technique for safety and use their dynamic energy to power you through this amazing full body workout.

Originally from Bulgaria and prior to her arrival in Calgary Jivka taught Step, Hi-Lo and Body Toning classes while living with her family in Tripoli, Libya.

Since her arrival in 2005 Jivka participated in group fitness classes and then decided to get involved with the fitness industry. She became a certified AFLCA instructor in January 2008.

Jivka's high energy and enthusiasm ensures everyone will have a great workout every time. She is excited about being a fitness instructor and her passion is to teach Step, Hi-Lo and Body Toning Classes. She is currently involved in an Iron Reps class at the Westbrook Mall Club.

[+]3 in 1 Beginner/Intermediate

3 times as much energy, 3 times as much fun. This workout includes 2 cardio sections (could be Step, Hi/lo, Knockout and/or Athletic) and 1 sculpt section to provide an action packed class. Perfect for those who like variety! Choreography is easy to follow and there are intensity options for a range of fitness levels.

CJ has been teaching Group Fitness classes for 10 years: in Calgary, Toronto, and Dubai in the Middle East. She is Can Fit Pro and AFLCA certified. CJ\'s smile makes newcomers feel welcome in any of her classes, and her easy cueing style and multiple intensity options combine for a fantastic workout for beginner, intermediate, or advanced participants alike. When CJ is not teaching, her 3-yr old son keeps her busy. She also loves to line dance, read, hike and canoe.

A gentle stretch class designed to release tight muscles and improve flexibility. We all need to stretch more and this class is perfect for everyone.

[+]Step and Pump Beginner/Intermediate

Combine step and weights to create a great all over workout. The step will be easy to follow but intense (with low intensity options for beginners) and the pump section will tone your muscles and improve your shape. Perfect for everyone!

Darci received her AFLCA certificate at Mount Royal college in1983 and has been working in the fitness industry ever since. She recently completed Personal Training through the University of Calgary and the American Council of Exercise (ACE). Darci also instructors a variety of fitness classes including step Pilates, ball and core stability She is very enthused about Personal Training and is looking forward to working individually with range of fitness and skill levels.

Blitz your Body with a combination of muscle and cardio at the same time. This class keeps you constantly moving and toning so you can get maximum calorie loss. It’s easy to follow, it’s suitable for everyone and it is perfect for those who want quick results.

I started in the fitness industry 10 years ago wtih Spa Lady which inspired me to make a career change into a wonderful Spa Lady Team Member! Sharing many of my successes with the Spa Lady Members helps them achive theirs goals and dream of a healthier, fitter, happier mind and body. I love to make the participants laugh, have fun and get a challenging well rounded work-out to bring them into a "State of Euphoria"!!!!!

This class is a fusion of mat based Pilates exercises and fitness core training. You will work the abdominals and spinal muscles whilst improving awareness of cervical, scapula, rib and pelvic placement and the role of the breath.
