Firdevs Yildiz

Her peers voted for her because her commitment to clients is amazing. Firdevs is always at least 15-30 minutes early for work. She always has the floor prepared for her clients well in advance and she takes great pride in her work. Firdevs does the extra research to make sure she has the best training programs for her clients. She is consistent, friendly and committed. Firdevs is an outstanding trainer and individual. She works very hard for her clients. Way to go Firdevs!

Lets dance a little, lets sweat a little and lets have a lot of fun. This dance based hi/lo class will guide you through choreography and the High Intensity Intervals will give you a push.

My name is Leslie, and I am an AFLCA certified Group Fitness Instructor and RYT Yoga Instructor. I am also a Personal Trainer and the Group Fitness director for Edmonton. I have been teaching for SPALADY since 1995 and I love every minute of it! The ladies/members are fantastic and have kept ME motivated all these years! With three daughters, I realize the importance of balancing work, family and fitness. My passion is in helping you to get fit with a balanced workout while focusing on a strong foundation. I am so fortunate to be working in an environment, with so many positive and energetic people, and I am very fortunate to be doing what I love to do!

10:00 am - 11:00 am

A full body workout using a variety of equipment and muscle conditioning exercises. This total body conditioning class will do just as the name says; condition the whole body for a total muscle workout!!

A calm and focused yoga class that concentrates on precision and alignment whilst using props to accommodate individuals. Improves balance, static strength and flexibility, whilst calming the mind and relieving stress.

Belly Fit is the holistic fitness experience for women! Burn mega calories, relieve stress and get the sweat flowing with fun, easy to learn cardio moves inspired by Belly Dance, Bollywood and African Dance. Afterwards, sculpt, tone and tighten with core work & then finish off with a deep yet relaxing Yoga inspired stretch and mindful Mudra Meditation to reenergize your spirit.

Her exciting eight year career as a Belly Dance Teacher and Performer forms the foundation of passion Annyse has for the health and wellness industry. She has had the privilege of leading, inspiring and educating others to improve their self-confidence and lifestyle choices.

With a strong desire to continue helping others to help themselves, and by extension, improve her own health and fitness, she became an AFLCA Group Exercise Leader in May 2014.

Her focus is to lead fun, safe and effective classes including Belly Fit, Moveball and other cardio/strength fusion classes!

Along with a passion to help others maintain a healthy lifestyle, she hopes make a difference in lives by leading rousing functional fitness classes at Spa Lady.

It is all about the Party! Dance, shake and groove away calories in a fun dance style aerobic class that is designed to be a party! It is for everyone and it is fun, fun fun!!!

Born in Europe, I grew up with a father who is a Karate instructor and lives for a healthy lifestyle, causing my passion for fitness to begin at a very young age. Throughout my life, I played a number of sports and like my father found myself with a love for Karate, ultimately earning my black belt and teaching classes. I absolutely LOVED instructing but after an ACL/MCL tear, I had to take a break. I moved to Edmonton from Medicine Hat to attend the University of Alberta where I earned my Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2010. After moving to Edmonton, I was introduced to Zumba by a friend. Seeing how much fun it was, I decided that I really wanted to teach this class. In October of 2010, I got certified and have been enjoying every minute of being an instructor. I plan on becoming a Fitness Instructor Specialist in the near future in hopes of expanding my class portfolio. When I am not teaching Zumba, I work in Human Resources full time

A combination of boxing and kickboxing movements using easy to follow choreography. This class may incorporate kickboxing equipment such as heavy bags, gloves and targets to improve technique. This class is a sure thing to tone up your upper body and abdominals.

I have been with SPA LADY since 1993, as a group fitness instructor and now recently club coordinator of our Century Park location. What motivates me is our members; their energy, their ability to overcome setbacks and to take that next step to their goal(s). Whatever that goal may be, I want to be there to help them achieve it. If it is just to step foot into one of our classes, that can be huge for them. Once they are in they are hooked. I am a better instructor because of them, our members challenge me to grow and develop my skills as an educator of fitness. I attend workshops, courses and education days to bring new information and workouts to them. That way we are all growing together in this industry.

I have been trained to teach a variety of styles. I enjoy teaching all of them; high/low, step, knockout, strength, bootcamp, Pilates, yoga, Zumba, metabolic training, and HIIT. They are all different, unique, and challenging in their own way. I want the members to walk away from my classes feeling good and wanting more.

In 2003, I graduated from Grant MacEwan for Massage Therapy. I enjoy learning and understanding the body that I had to go back to school. Since then I have been working as a RMT in the west end.

I am very passionate about fitness, lifestyle and the role that I play. I love it!

Maxine is one of the Zumba instructors at SPALADY! She is originally from Calgary and now lives in Edmonton to attend school at Grant MacEwan for Massage Therapy. Maxine completed both her fitness instructor specialist certification and Zumba instructor licence in March 2013. Her goal as an instructor is to help members achieve their fitness and health goals while having fun! She invites you to come shake and shimmy with her in Zumba!
