Debbie has been enjoying Yoga since her early teens and has felt the positive benefits of the practice throughout her life. After raising her children, she decided to share her passion with others by receiving her Yoga Teacher Training Certification through Physical Yoga.
Subsequently, she has furthered her studies with The Yoga Studio College of Canada, expanding her knowledge of the Iyengar style of Yoga. This particular branch of Yoga concentrates on precise alignment in poses and the use of props to help make the practice accessible to everyone, regardless of age or fitness level.
Most recently she has delved into Yin Yoga, a style which helps the practitioner safely move the stretch further into the joints and connective tissues, enhancing flexibility and facilitating a deep sense of emotional and physical well-being.
Debbie is enthusiastic about introducing people to the practice of Yoga and finds great satisfaction in observing the delicate blossoming of Mind, Body and Spirit.

It is all about the Party! – Dance, shake and groove away calories in a fun dance style aerobic class that is designed to be a party! It is for everyone and it is fun, fun fun!!!
I am a Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor Specialist, Fitness Model, Body Combat, Body Jam, and Zumba / Zumbatomics instructor, CPR, Bosu Balance training, Core and Stretching and Flexibility training, and I have recently completed a 200 hr. Asthanga Vinyasa Yoga teacher’s training. Most importantly, I am a mom of 2 busy children and I understand how important it is to include ourselves in our list of priorities.
In 2008, I set a major fitness goal, I decided to compete in a fitness show, to achieve this goal I set up a very disciplined meal plan, and a boot camp workout program, in a matter a 2 months I had transformed my body, I feel very proud of myself for taking this challenge and I know that if I could do it, anybody can too! I placed 1st. in the Masters category for Swimming suit model at Wow Fame 2008 World championship in Toronto.
I am lucky and fortunate to be involved in the fitness industry and be able to reach to all kinds of women who are looking into improving their health, wellness and fitness, everybody has different goals, for some it might be to have more energy to play with their kids, or to look good for an event, or to improve their self-esteem, whatever the reason, fitness should be a constant in everybody's life.
My philosophy on fitness is simple: Set goals...focus...and succeed! I love the power that comes from discipline, challenge, and the fun of training. My fitness goals are to continue to expand my knowledge of healthy living, and to share my experience with others. I enjoy being with my family and friends, nothing can top a day at the park with my husband and kids, ... I also enjoy taking some time by myself to reenergize, celebrate my accomplishments and set new goals.
For those that love step, but are short on time this 30 minutes of pure cardio is the express way to burn calories and have fun with step choreography. Different levels of choreography will be offered to help everybody feel welcome..

I started to practise yoga with Nora Maskey in January of 2001. It is through my studies with Nora that I was introduced to the practise of Anusara Yoga®. I am an Anusara-Inspired™ yoga teacher registered at the 200 hour level with Yoga Alliance. I have taught yoga for two years. I teach classes at Unihealth Group, and I am a yoga therapist with Innovative Health Group.
Anusara Yoga® is a modern style of hatha yoga which draws us into alignment with our intrinsic good nature using physical postures, breath and movement. I feel better when I practise yoga: I am more relaxed, more fun-loving, and generally make more sense to myself and to others.
Yoga is a way of realizing and celebrating we are one. Yoga is not an abstract concept separate from us or an experience of removing ourselves. Instead, yoga is the experience of connection and relating to ourselves in our lives in richer and more meaningful ways. A good way to understand yoga is to give it a try.

After having my two children and getting into my 30\'s I wanted to be more active on a daily basis. As a performing artist and musician it was a natural progression for me to begin to dance again as I did in my youth. I discovered Zumba and knew right away this was what I wanted to do for my own health and for the health of others.
Zumba has provided the platform for me to dance frequently and with enthusiasm and vigor that you just can\'t get away with on the average dancefloor! My passion for music inspires me as I create my choreography and I have a great time instructing others to move their bodies with confidence and joy.
The benefits of Zumba are not only physical! Not only can I deal with stress better now than in the past I just don\'t feel down very often! I attribute this to my experience as a Zumba instructor sharing happiness and health with my clients each day.
A full body workout using a variety of equipment and muscle conditioning exercises. This total body conditioning class will do just as the name says; condition the whole body for a total muscle workout!!

The lifestyle instruction is there each week as she teaches her participants how to achieve goals and maintain them.
Cheryl also understands about a busy life as she has two daughters who are deeply involved in soccer but thinks that a balance can always be attained. She has always stressed that as women we need to take care of ourselves as nobody else will do it for us.
Doing aerobics with familiar faces is also a bonus when you attend Cheryl's class, as some of the members have been participants for many years. She has had many women who have become friends outside of the club after attending the class. It is where ladies come together to laugh, live and love.
One of her favorite sayings is, "To the world you may be only one person but to one person you may be the world."

Cheryl has been instructing Spa Lady member's for 18 years. She is a strong believer that we need to integrate everything we do to match our lifestyles. Once or twice a year, Cheryl runs an eight-week lifestyle challenge that helps women exchange one lifestyle for a better one. This has been quite successful for those members wishing for a change but not knowing how to do it.
This restorative class uses yoga poses to gently release tight joints and ease away muscle tension. There is also a guided relaxation section designed to improve sleep habits, relieve fatigue and reduce stress. It is a perfect way to refresh the mind and body and bring balance to life.

Combine step and weights to create a great all over workout. The step will be easy to follow but intense (with low intensity options for beginners) and the strength section will tone your muscles and improve your shape. Perfect for everyone.

This Yin Yoga class will incorporate seated and supine asanas, similar to Hatha Yoga, but the poses are held longer to encourage muscle relaxation, a release of the deep connective tissues and an opening of the joints. The Yin practice is passive and does not include standing or balancing poses and over time will increase range of motion, facilitate relaxation and help prepare the mind and body for meditation.

June became a student of yoga in 2002 shortly after moving to Calgary. Arriving as a new mother, June joined Spa Lady with a friend, and continued as a member because of the variety of classes, the quality of the instructors, and the great community of Spa Lady members.
Pure curiosity drew her to yoga with the simple question, ‘what is yoga?’ Learning the physical postures was the starting point. Equally captivating was the underlying ancient wisdom tradition of yoga. In 2011, June was certified as a yoga teacher by the Yoga Studio College of Canada (Iyengar style yoga). Iyengar yoga is characterized by precise alignment, and uses props to guide and accommodate any level of yoga practitioner and includes breath work, meditation and philosophy of yoga. She believes that yoga benefits the whole person by exploring the connection between body, mind and spirit. She hopes to share the sense of community, joy, self-awareness and well-being that yoga can bring.
Interests and hobbies range from downhill skiing, biking and hooping to creative pursuits of sewing, knitting, cooking, gardening, and of course Yoga.

Inhale: yoga is you Exhale: you are yoga
