Members can experience all kinds of successes at Spa Lady, but the most drastic and exciting is always that of significant weight loss. Dawn B. of Spa Lady’s Heritage Club in Edmonton is a member with just such a story. “At the age of 20, I found myself in tears in a clothing store, no longer able to fit into “regular” size clothes. I was 5’7” and weighed 200 lbs, and was unable to squeeze into size 16. It was at that point I realized I needed a change.” Like many of us, Dawn started off slowly, making minor adjustments to her lifestyle. She started to exercise occasionally and began to eat what she thought to be healthy. Her results were modest, but noticeable. However, she didn’t stop there – rather than slowly slide back into her old habits and regain the weight that she had lost, Dawn became even more motivated, and she had a realization: “I needed to do more.” And more she did. After Dawn enrolled at Spa Lady, our trainers got her started on a program. “When I joined Spa Lady, I weighed 185 lbs. I started small, at my own level, with one hour three times a week. I met a Spa Lady trainer who worked with me on my diet and taught me how to truly eat healthy. I have worked my way up to cardio four or five times a week and weight training three times.” Dawn has now slimmed down to 147 lbs and a size 9/10! “I have changed my lifestyle, without letting it take over my life.”
